Studying Hard vs Financial Planning

I recently had a conversation with a university friend whom I hadn't met in 25 years. During our conversation, my friend, who has two children, mentioned an intriguing question asked by one of their children: "Why should we study so hard when the government approves a minimum wage starting at RM 1,500 per month?" My friend was stunned by this question, and I couldn't help but smile. Determining Your Future Salary The real question to ask is, "How much will be your last drawn salary if you start with RM 1,500 per month now?" Let's assume you begin working at age 20 and plan to retire at age 60, giving you 40 years of working life. For the sake of simplicity, we'll assume a permanent annual salary increase of 4%. The answer is that your last drawn salary upon retirement at age 60 will be RM 7,201.50 per month! In contrast, considering an article that suggests a fresh graduate's starting salary will be RM 2,500, and assuming a permanent increase of

Samsung Galaxy Flip4, really?

I love it but I am concerned about the hinge flipping the smartphone. It is so cool to flip open and close the smartphone in the public. I called it catching eyeball's attention gadget.  Samsung Galaxy Flip4 was launched in Malaysia somewhere around August 2022. At that time, Samsung offers great promotions up to RM1,xxx free bits and Purchase with Purchase (PWP) to attract new customers and existing users. 5 months pass and the price of the smartphone drop significantly (not a surprise) you can find sellers offering around RM2,600 plus for a Samsung Galaxy Flip4 used unit for 128GB storage. I must admit, the foldable screen is definitely amazing! When you just browse it casually, you will still notice the crease on the screen. Obviously, your finger can feel it too! But still, it is a foldab

My research for DJI Pocket 2 - Do I really need it?

One of the questions in my mind regarding content creation is the tool that I need to use to create nice photos and stunning videos. We are living in 2023 and we are not in shortage of capable smartphones that are packed with high-end hardware and software to create the above requirement. But let me share with you my challenges and my recommended solutions. Challenge Number 1: Tripod We have very premier built and high price range type of tripod and very low price range and plastic built type of tripod. In the end, you still need a tripod to clamp your expensive camera or smartphone to shoot some stable videos. You need to carry 1 extra item in your bag. What a bumper. If you are carrying a relatively large tripod stick, you may get some attention that you are going to start hunting when you pull out your large and long tripod stick. I do carry a 2-meter-long tripod with me on business trips. It is troublesome to keep it because the tripod is either too long to store in any luggage bag
